Directional Excitation of Acoustic Graphene Plasmons Using Oblique Incidences

In this work, the directional excitation of acoustic graphene plasmons (AGPs) are numerically studied using finite element methods. our proposed hybrid graphene-metal structure under oblique incidences, not only AGPs excited efficiently, but also they unidirectional propagating along a monolayer. Although symmetry dispersion relations broken by incidence, both left- and right-moved simultaneously at resonant wavelength due to almost equaled wavenumbers propagated AGPs. Based on fact that great efficiency can’t guarantee high EM energy in one direction, we will focus how net affected geometrical parameters. Due tunable conductivity, propagation with can be dynamically controlled relatively low externally applied bias voltage (electrostatic gating). The prototype may find applications ultra-confined plasmon launchers switchers integrated optics.
